Terms of service

Effective November 3, 2026

These terms describe the use of tokyoknives.com, operated by Tokyo Knives. The website provides editorial information about Japanese kitchen knives and Tokyo, product information and links to external retailers and booking providers.

How purchases work

Tokyo Knives currently operates an affiliate website and does not accept or fulfill direct knife orders. A product purchase button takes you to the external retailer’s product page; clicking it does not place an order or complete payment. Travel links can take you to an external booking provider. The retailer or provider controls its checkout, pricing, availability, fulfillment and customer-service terms.

Information displayed on Tokyo Knives can change or differ from the details presented by the external provider when you visit. Review the provider’s product or experience details and final checkout information before committing to a purchase or booking. See our Purchasing and shipping and Returns and cancellations information.

Editorial information and ratings

Our guides and descriptions provide general information. They do not replace the manufacturer’s instructions for a particular tool or the current rules of an attraction, venue or service. Use knives and maintenance tools only for appropriate tasks and follow their instructions.

A score labeled “Tokyo Knives rating” is a merchant-provided editorial score. It is not a customer-review average, an Amazon star rating or evidence of a verified purchase. Links to external product pages may let you read reviews published by that provider; those reviews and their moderation are controlled by the provider.

We earn commissions from qualifying purchases or bookings through affiliate links. Read our Affiliate disclosure for more information.

Inquiries and submitted material

Press and bulk-inquiry forms are communication channels. Submitting a form does not create an order, reserve stock, establish a supply commitment or guarantee a response by a particular time. Do not send confidential material unless we have agreed on how to handle it, and do not include sensitive payment or identity information.

Submitting a press request does not grant permission to reproduce photographs, logos or other content. Please identify the material you wish to use so we can address the request and any third-party rights.

Content and acceptable use

Website content belongs to Tokyo Knives or the relevant rights holder. You may link to our pages. Other copying, republication or commercial use requires permission unless applicable law permits it. Manufacturer names and third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Do not misuse the website by attempting unauthorized access, disrupting its operation, transmitting malicious code, submitting deceptive requests or infringing another person’s rights.

Website operation and your rights

We may correct, update or remove website content. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every item of information will remain complete or current. External websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Current affiliate information does not remove any rights connected with an earlier purchase made directly from Tokyo Knives.
