Shun Premier 5 Piece Block Set

Shun Premier 5 Piece Block Set provides a coordinated starting point for kitchen preparation. A set can make sense when several tools need replacing together, while its practical value comes from how well the included shapes fit the meals you cook.

At a glance

• 5 pieces in one set

Use the individual blade roles to plan your preparation. A total piece count can include storage or maintenance items as well as knives.

• Premier knife handles

The knife handles have a rounded, contoured shape that differs from the Classic D-profile.

• Premier blades

The hammered tsuchime surface sits above the layered blade pattern, giving Premier its recognizable texture.

• Countertop block

The block format keeps a group of knives together. Allow enough overhead clearance to remove the longest blade without striking a cabinet.

Find your fit

Start with the tasks you repeat: broad board work, small trimming jobs and any specialist cutting you do often. Our Japanese knife guide explains the main shapes; utility and paring roles explain useful complements.

Care and storage

Hand wash the knives, dry them completely and protect their edges separately. Keep wood storage pieces clean with a damp cloth, then dry them; do not soak a block or tray. Our knife-storage guide covers blocks, drawers and guards.
